What we collect

When you fill in the enquiry form, we collect your name, email, optional phone, requested dates, guest counts, and any message. When you subscribe to our newsletter we collect only your email.

Why we collect it

Enquiry data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and (if you book) to communicate about your stay. Newsletter data is used to send a roughly monthly email of Whitby tips and seasonal availability.

How we store it

Enquiries are stored in encrypted Vercel storage in EU data centres. Newsletter subscribers are stored with Resend (also EU). We retain enquiry data for 24 months. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or share your data with anyone else for marketing. Our processors are Vercel (hosting) and Resend (email).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. Email hello@fossilcottage.co.uk.

Cookies

We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track individual users. We don't use any third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
